There’s no fresh air where I live,

Uptown, downtown, every day

A sea of cars, horns blaring, chaos is today’s order-

Bills you can’t afford, pay that cannot preserve,

Sweat on my brow

Cursing, praying, hissing, hoping

I dream of better days

While caterpillars, earthworms and cankerworms eat up

My nation’s belly-

They get fat on our gold and blood

I hate them, detest them,

My very words, a blank mute screen.

Garbage on the streets, car decks turned on high,

Beggars, thieves, hawkers and thugs,

One big party, my yellow Lagos

Potholes on bad roads,

Electric poles with no electricity,

Scorching sun yet poor solar energy systems,

Why o Why-

Daily I pray for a better tomorrow

But my hope is dimming day by day

Soon I will flee as I have done in my heart a thousand times

Only to return when empowered

 my tomorrow, today.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my new blog! This is just an introductory post so I’ll keep it short and sweet.

I decided to start a blog for the simple reason that if I dont, I will go insane. I have a very busy schedule but recently, I discovered that I have been writing in my subconscious, while I eat my lunch (on a hundred of pieces which I then lose and never find) and even in my dreams. I tell you if I dont start blogging, I ll surely run mad!

Over the next few months I plan to be writing and sharing posts about various topics that I find interesting and I am sure you will enjoying, too. From lifestyle topics – I am a mother of three boys, all under the age of four- to legal issues- i am a lawyer- to religious issues- I am a christian who loves the Lord Jesus and isn’t afraid to say so.

Caution: I have a “special power” that I would be using often in this blog. I can literally think 10 thoughts at the exact same time, not one after the other, no, at the exact same time! So, please bear with me if the thinking “lines” cross sometimes but I am sure you will have fun agreeing with, disagreeing with, adoring or reviling the insides of my brain.

That’s it for now! If you’d like to be kept updated with my posts “Like” this post or subscribe to my blog.
